Spinsauce Rigs - Whisper the Wolf - V1

WARNING - AMATEUR PROJECT.

I feel the need to put that in there because this is my SECOND publicly available rig. I have NOT been doing 3d art for very long beyond making renders with other people's content. The rig and weight painting are by far the weakest part of this project and that is something I'm very much aware of. I hope to continue learning though, and hopefully in the future that V1 in the title can become a V2. Another issue is that because I'm still learning, the topology is not the best, and it's likely less optimized than it should be. This is also something I'm still learning. This is very much a passion project, I wanted to see this model made, and I wanted to learn to model.

If you feel like paying for this, it is of course very much appreciated. I worked a long time on this, however I would very much recommend downloading this for free first and judging for yourself if it's worth money before paying anything. As mentioned, this is an amateur project and I am very much an amateur.

With all that out of the way. I'm introducing this model I created for Whisper, from the IDW Sonic comics. I've been working on this for a while and I'm happy to finally get it released out into the world. I'd love to see any art made with this, so please if you make something with this, tag me in it or send it to me somehow. I'd be happy to see it!

  • As detailed in the image above. This is a custom made model. I referenced a lot of things but ultimately I created it. Along with the textures which I painted in substance painter and photoshop.
  • The rig is a modified Rigify rig.
  • The eyes do not open, this is both a limitation of the model(Her eyes simply do not exist under the eyelashes) and a stylistic choice, as her eyes are very rarely open in the source media, I chose to mimic this in the model to ensure that she looked as close to her in-comic design as I could get her.

  • PLEASE NOTE. The model features a decent number of subdivision modifiers, as such I have enabled Simplify on the model, this means certain areas of the model will look strange and low-detail. In order to see how the fingers normally look, untick the simplify button in the render settings area of the properties panel. Just keep in mind that with simplify off it's likely to lag. With that said, I would recommend keeping simplify turned on while posing and adjusting your scene for performance reasons.

  • Usage Rights: Honestly? Rip this apart, edit it, make changes, use it in projects, whatever you want really. Hell if you wanna re-rig the model to your own standards then I definitely wont stop you, you cant do a worse job than me at it lmao. I'm not very picky, all I ask is that you credit me, and let me know where you've used it. I wanna see the cool stuff she ends up in!
